I received a Bachelor's degree and Majored in Supply Chain Management. Everything they taught us was a theoretical view, for example, on lean manufacturing, Kaizen, six-sigma, etc. However, this book is more practical and teaches you how to apply it in real life. I would most definitely recommend this book to any one interested in Lean Supply Chain Management.

Lean Opportunity Assessment is quite comprehensive, but the scoring system is not well explained. In addition, the assessment places emphasis on lean tools that might discourage users who are not familiar with the tools whilst doing assessment.
It is basic information as an introduction to the subject. The book is well explained.
A really simple book. It is not a book I would read as an only reasource for the topic, but it give you a good idea of the topic. It contains a lot of actual and modern concepts, so it helps keeping up with the logistics, everchanging, world.
Very topical treatment of a very interesting subject that yields itself to significant analysis that could empower one to become an effective change agent.The author's organization of the book is lacking. Many pages appear to have been written as mere "page fillers" and convey very little substance to empower a change agent or a curious individual just interested in learning.Good editing, more quantitative analysis, downloadable templates would certainly make this book into an tool, not just a another book on the shelf.After reading this book, my newly acquired knowledge was lean indeed.

Great and detailed book with many examples. I really enjoyed reading it. Even though I believe that the author could provide some more examples. At the end there is a literature review, with also some additional examples, which are detailed. But a good and detailed book on the topic of Lean Supply Chain Enterprises.
