This book helped me so much in preparing for my global regents. Though the questions may seem tedious, they helped in the long run. I recommend completing this book and getting a good feel for how your regents will actually be. To be honest, I didn't complete the short answer and essay prompts included but that doesn't mean they won't help you. I scored a 93 on my global regents. I am in honors and kept a steady 90 throughout the year. I recommend starting this book 1 month before your regents. If you want to score well and get a good taste for the type of questions you will receive, this book is a great buy!!!!!!
The one nice thing about this publication is that is explains the answers after a student has taken the practice exams included. These exams are posted on line at the NYSED but the explanations are not. Of course a student must sit down and take the practice exams. That is the key to having this publication be a special help.
Was invalid as there is new state test
This book really does help to prepare high school students for the Regents exam.You should, however, begin using it at the beginning of the course. Use it as a supplement to your textbook.The exams in are great practice but remember those questions will never be repeated on a future exam.
My daughter used this book and did much better on this year's regents than last years Global Final! It also eased her anxiety about facing the Regents
great new book
There aren't too many books published to help specifically for the SAT II W. Hist. So before I took that exam I bought this book for some practice problems, and it did help. I scored a 710 although I it had been 2 years since I took W.Hist. If you also plan to buy the Barron's How to...World History, read the review section, which is pretty good, but don't let their exam questions tarnish your perceptions. The questions intensified popular misconceptions and what not. That's why you would want this book for practice questions. Ironic: same publishers, two different recommendations.
Since purchasing this book, my daughter grade went up in Globals and her test score are better. She understand the book better than the materials that the teacher give.
